Anyone else remember how crazy we all went for this backpack?!

Soon after that, more and more bags were released, with other popular products, such as:

Although they sell a variety of products, they are still best known for their mini backpacks.

More Discounted Bags AT THE PARKS: In December 2024, I went to Disneyland (California), I was there just before mid-December and saw that there was a Disney Loungefly sale on the Christmas backpacks. Surely, if they were selling well, they wouldn’t discount them to just $50 with around 1.5 – 2 weeks until Christmas. I’ve also seen other Loungefly bags on sale at Walt Disney World (even if they’re not seasonal designs).

Presumably, they wouldn’t be seeing a $29 – $49 discount this early (since about 2 weeks before Christmas) if they were selling really well. There are SO MANY Disney Loungefly bags that exist. Whether they’re sold in or out of the parks, there’s no shortage of designs.

But it comes to a point where you feel like you’ve seen a Loungefly bag in every colour, for every park destination and for every character. Which leads to a decrease in hype for the new releases.

What’s Next For Disney Loungefly Bags?

It might seem like the hype for Disney Loungefly bags have cooled off, but the story’s far from over.

Loungefly is still the most recognizable name in the Disney bag market, and I can’t foresee them being removed from the gift shop shelves anytime soon.

But will we have designs as sought after as the ones in the late 2010s again? Maybe, but with the changing culture, it’s unlikely we’ll see anything to that degree.
