Disney World Annual Passholder

There are different Disney World Annual Passes tiers – with varying requirements of eligibility and prices …
Please remember that details, offerings, and prices are subject to change, so it’s always advisable to check the official Disney website for the most up-to-date information â before making your purchase.Â

What about Walt Disney World Annual Passholder Price Increases?
Unfortunately, Disney loves to increase the prices on their already expensive Annual Passes. đ
The last time they increased the prices of Annual Passes was in October 2025.
Here are the recent price increases for each Annual Pass tier:
- Disney Pixie Dust Pass
Price Before October 2023 Increase:Â $399 + tax
Price After October 2023 Increase:Â $439 + tax
Price After October 2025 Increase: $489 + tax
INCREASE of $90 in two years!
- Disney Pirate Pass:
Price Before October 2023 Increase:Â $749 + tax
Price After October 2023 Increase:Â $799 + tax
Price After October 2025 Increase: $869 + tax
INCREASE of $120 in two years!
- Disney Sorcerer Pass:
Price Before October 2023 Increase:Â $969 + tax
Price After October 2023 Increase:Â $999 + tax
Price After October 2025 Increase: $1,099 + tax
INCREASE of $130 in two years!
- Disney Incredi-Pass:
Price Before October 2023 Increase:Â $1,399 + tax
Price After October 2023 Increase:Â $1,449
Price After October 2025 Increase: $1,629 + tax
INCREASE of $230 in two years!
You can expect semi-regular price increases. It may not be enough to stop you from buying an Annual Pass – or take away its value. But, these increases can add up – especially if you’re purchasing Annual Passes for a family.
The Price of Disney World Annual Pass Add-Ons
There are currently two Disney World Annual Pass Add-Ons. You have to pay for these in addition to the regular AP cost.
Here are the current Add-Ons:
1) Water Park and Sports Option â $109 + tax
2) Disney PhotoPass Downloads â $109 + tax
(I break down these Add-Ons in more details in this post).
But basically, if water parks and golf and/or PhotoPass downloads are important to you, this may be an important add-on that you can justify.
Disney World Annual Passes VS Disney World Tickets: Which is Cheaper?
For most people, this will be the deciding factor in whether or not they purchase a Disney World Annual Pass.
So, let’s compare:
Disney World day tickets cost between $119+ – $209+ per day (though this can be more expensive, depending on the park you’re visiting. Animal Kingdom is the cheapest and Magic Kingdom is the most expensive).
If we averaged the cost at around $160 per day, (of course, it could be more or less), this is approximately how many days you would have to visit on your Annual Pass to “re-coup” the cost (rounded to the nearest day and not including tax):
How many times do you have to go to Disney to make an Annual Pass worth it?
Disney Pixie Dust Pass:Â 4 days
Pirate Pass: 6 days
Sorcerer Pass: 7 days
Disney Incredi-Pass: 11 days
So, if you are planning on visiting the Disney World Parks frequently, you might see some significant savings by purchasing a Disney World Annual Pass.
I have a Disney Incredi-Pass, and I will be spending approximately 51 days in the parks during this 365 day period, so it definitely is worth it for me.
(Please note that to work out the exact numbers for you, you can use Disney’s site. I am using approximate numbers to provide a rough idea of the potential value of a Disney World Annual Pass. But this will differ depending on the dates you intend to visit during a 12-month period).
How else can you save money as a Disney World Annual Passholder?
We haven’t discussed the other Disney World Annual Passholder benefits.
The best benefit is the Disney World Annual Passholder Discounts, such as:
- Resort discounts (usually up to 40% off select resorts & rooms at certain times of years. Check Disney’s Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page for more details on the current AP Resort promotions).

- Dining discounts (usually about 10% on Table Service restaurants).

- Merchandise discounts (20% merchandise discounts in most locations & on most items – though this has occasionally increased to 30% for select periods).
- “Complimentary” standard theme park parking (which is currently worth $30 a day!).
- $10 off tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights.

If you opt to renew your Annual Pass at the end of the year, you will often be offered a 15% discount on your next year. This may sound like a pretty good deal, but don’t forget Disney will probably increase the prices of Annual Passes before you get this discount. So, it isn’t that drastic.
But still, it’s better than paying full-price for your next year of being a Disney World Annual Passholder.’
At the end of the day, Disney World Annual Pass renewal prices are still slightly better than the regular prices.
Are there any hidden costs of becoming a Disney World Annual Passholder?
Kind of.
If you purchase a Disney World Annual Pass, you will probably find that you want to/will visit the parks more frequently.
This could cost you a lot of money for hotels, dining, transportation (maybe even merchandise đ) etc.
I have definitely started visiting Disney World more frequently since I bought an Annual Pass.
There is also a small amount of exclusive Disney World Annual Passholder merchandise – which might tempt you. After all, who doesn’t want to flaunt their Disney World Annual Passholder pride?!
So, definitely take this into consideration!
So, can I save money by becoming a Disney World Annual Passholder?
Yes, it’s definitely possible, if you …
- Visit Disney World enough days per year
- Take advantage of On-Site Resort discounts (but this isn’t always the cheapest way to stay on-site. You may be better off using other limited-time discounts, or renting DVC points).
- Dine at Table Service Restaurants

- Already buy a lot of full-priced merchandise!
Frequently Asked Questions Related to Disney World Annual Passholder
What should I check before buying an Annual Pass?
Before you buy, confirm these three things:
- Blockout dates for the tier you want
- Reservation availability and limits (how many you can hold at once)
- Whether you qualify for a Florida resident or DVC pass tier (if applicable)
If you plan to visit at peak times, this may be even more important to you.
What are the perks of being an annual passholder at Disney World?
Being a Disney World Annual Passholder means you can drop in for a few hours without feeling like youâve gotta squeeze every ride into one day.
Youâll get perks like discounts on food, merch, and some hotels, plus passholder-only extras that pop up now and then.
The big win is flexibility, but the fine print is real, blockout dates and park pass rules can still mess with your plans, so do your research before making the commitment!
Is renting DVC points cheaper than booking a Disney World hotel with an Annual Pass discount?
Renting DVC points is often cheaper than booking a Disney World hotel with an Annual Pass discount, especially at Deluxe resorts where rack rates get crazy expensive, even with a discount.
With companies like David’s Vacation Club Rentals, you can often save 50% + compared to Disney rates. So nights at places like Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows or Disney’s BoardWalk Villas can come in well under what Disney charges, even after that AP percentage off, in many cases.
The catch is flexibility, rentals usually have stricter rules (limited changes, not-as-flexible cancellations – see David’s cancellation policy on their site), so you can be trading savings for less wiggle room.
If your dates are firm and you want deluxe vibes for less, renting points is hard to beat; if you want easy changes, the AP discount feels safer.
Trying to book a last-minute stay? It’s worth checking out DVC confirmed reservations (if you can be flexible on dates, resorts and room types).
And please note: if you rent DVC points, you DO NOT become a DVC member. You’re essentially paying a fee to borrow someone else’s points.
Do Annual Passholders still need theme park reservations?
Yes. Annual Passholders need park reservations (subject to availability) to enter a theme park on most days.
Each pass has a cap on how many reservations you can hold at one time:
| Pass | Max Park Reservations Held at Once |
|---|---|
| Pixie Dust | 3 |
| Pirate | 4 |
| Sorcerer | 5 |
| Incredi-Pass | 5 |
If youâre staying at a Disney resort, you can also get additional reservations tied to your hotel stay.
What is the 2PM rule at Disney World?
The 2PM rule for Annual Passholders at Disney World meant that no park hopping was allowed before 2PM. Luckily, since early 2024, Passholders have been able to park hop before 2 PM, so this is no longer in place at Disney World.
Can I pay monthly for a Disney World Annual Pass?
If youâre a Florida resident, yes. Disney offers a monthly payment plan with a down payment (see Disney’s terms and conditions on this for more information). Non-Florida residents generally need to pay in full.
Is parking free for Passholders at Disney World?
Yes, standard parking is included for Annual Passholders at Walt Disney World theme parks. Parking perks donât cover everything (example: valet), but it generally means you wonât pay the regular daily parking fee.
Can kids get an Annual Pass, and is it cheaper than an adult pass?
Kids ages 3 and up can have an Annual Pass, and the pass price is typically the same as an adult.
At Disneyland Paris, you can get kids Annual Passes at reduced prices, but this hasn’t been implemented at Walt Disney World yet.
Children under 3 donât need park admission.

Being a Disney World Annual Passholder will probably never be “cheap”, but it might just save you money on your visits.
