Disneyland Paris is home to some of the most iconic attractions in the world and my goal is to help you pick the right ones to maximize your visit.

And if you don’t want to choose between them all, we’ll talk about how you can experience them with much shorter wait times (along with other important information – such as Disneyland Paris ride height requirements).

This post is all about 10 incredibly popular Disneyland Paris rides: how you can experience them with shorter wait times and if they’re actually worth the hype.

Disneyland Paris Rides List

1) Big Thunder Mountain

Height Restriction: 1.02m +

Highlights: Pretty fast roller coaster with small drops & no inversions

Location: Frontierland, Disneyland Park

disneyland paris rides list

Big Thunder Mountain is often called the “wildest ride in the wilderness.”

This exciting roller coaster takes you on a high-speed journey through an abandoned gold mine.

Although this isn’t the only Big Thunder Mountain in the world (it can be found at other Disney Parks), it is considered the most thrilling.

Though it isn’t the scariest roller coaster at Disneyland Paris (it has no inversions), it’s classic and fun.

Big Thunder Mountain *is* worth the hype. Mainly because it’s a family-friendly coaster that isn’t boring for slightly older guests.

2) Pirates of the Caribbean

Height Restriction: Any height

Highlights: A fun, dark boat ride

Location: Adventureland, Disneyland Park

disneyland paris roller coaster rides

A timeless classic, Pirates of the Caribbean offers a wonderdul journey with pirates who are usually up to no good!

With tons of animatronics, catchy music and enjoyable drops, this is an excellent indoor boat ride!

Pirates of the Caribbean *is* worth the hype.

3) Ratatouille: The Adventure

Height Restriction: Any height

Highlights: Mainly screen-based attraction, re-telling the story of Ratatouille

Location: Worlds of Pixar, Walt Disney Studios Park (to be re-named Disney Adventure World)

disneyland paris ride heights

Inspired by the beloved Pixar film, Ratatouille: The Adventure is a feast for the senses.

The trackless ride shrinks you down to the size of Remy the rat, letting you scurry through the bustling world of Gusteau’s restaurant.

You have to wear 3D glasses for this one, and may be unsuitable if you suffer from motion sickness.

Is this worth the hype? No.

When it opened in 2014, it sure did.

However, the 3D aspect of this ride feels outdated a decade later.

Especially if you’ve visited Disney World or Disneyland – and experienced Rise of the Resistance or Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway (more advanced trackless/screen-based attractions).

That being said – Walt Disney Studios – to be re-named Disney Adventure World – is a small park with mainly subpar attractions.

So, Ratatouille: The Adventure is still better than a lot of the rides in this park.

If you’re visiting for 2 days +, you probably wouldn’t need to experience this more than once.

If the Single Rider line is open and you’re able to use it, that’s the best *free* way to experience this attraction.

4) Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain

Height Restriction: 1.20m +

Highlights: Roller coaster with inversions

Location: Discoveryland, Disneyland Park

Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain is a roller coaster that goes upside down – with intense speeds and screen-based Star Wars visuals.

This ride was previously Space Mountain ‘From Earth to the Moon’ and then ‘Space Mountain: Mission 2’.

Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain is considered by many to be the worst version of this Paris attraction.

That being said, it’s still an iconic attraction. It’s worth experiencing once on a trip (especially if you’re visiting for more than one day).

But it’s probably not a ride you’ll need to experience multiple times during your Disneyland Paris holiday.

5) Crush’s Coaster

Height Restriction: 1.07m +

Highlights: Roller coaster with drops and spinning in the dark (no inversions)

Location: Worlds of Pixar, Walt Disney Studios (to be re-named Disney Adventure World)

At the Worlds of Pixar, experience Finding Nemo in Crush’s Coaster, an exhilarating roller coaster.

The ride twists and spins in the dark.

Despite the kid-friendly theming, this is more intense than you may expect (speaking as a former kid who was terrified of this attraction back in the day!).

However, this is one of the best Disneyland Paris rides for adults.

Crush’s Coaster often has the longest wait time at Disneyland Paris.

So, is it worth it?

I’m going to say yes.

It is the most thrilling roller coaster at Disneyland Paris – that does *not* go upside down.

And, it is pretty well-themed to Finding Nemo.

This stands out in Walt Disney Studios as a great attraction – among other moderate and bad rides.

If you’re happy to go in the single rider line, that’s probably your best bet – though it can often be nearly as long as the standby queue, so keep that in mind.

If you are staying on-site – and have access to Extra Magic Time – try and experience this attraction then – before the line gets too out of hand.

6) Peter Pan’s Flight

Height Restriction: Any height

Highlights: Storytelling, slow-moving ride in a flying pirate ship!

Location: Fantasyland, Disneyland Park

Fly over the streets of London in Peter Pan’s Flight, a gentle yet magical ride that captures the whimsical spirit of Neverland.

It’s a family favorite, offering a cute journey that has been popular for decades.

This is a solid and iconic attraction. However, the wait time for this attraction is kind of insane.

It’s the most popular ride in Fantasyland. And whilst it’s higher quality than the other slow-moving dark rides, it’s interesting how the lines can be considerably larger for Peter Pan’s Flight.

Peter Pan’s Flight is worth experiencing, but it is not worth waiting over an hour for!

If you’re staying at a Disneyland Paris hotel, I’d recommend utilising Extra Magic Time to experience this attraction.

7) The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Height Restriction: 1.02m +

Highlights: Haunted hotel dark ride with large drops

Location: Production Courtyard, Walt Disney Studios (to be re-named Disney Adventure World)

disneyland paris tickets

Dare to enter The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror?

This drop tower ride takes you through eerie, haunted hotel hallways.

If you’ve experienced this attraction at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, I’d say the drops are even more intense here. (So maybe don’t head for this attraction right after lunch!).

This is worth the hype – as long as you don’t tend to feel sick on these types of drop rides.

8) Autopia

Height Restriction: 81cm +

Highlights: Ride where you can “drive” cars

Location: Discoveryland, Disneyland Park

Experience driving like never before with Autopia, where kids and adults can “drive” futuristic cars on a winding track.

It’s a fun, laid-back ride that lets you take the wheel!

That being said, it’s not the most interesting ride at Disneyland Paris.

Although it’s fun for kids, it’s a bit more boring when you’re an adult!

Interestingly, the wait times for this attraction at Disney World (known as Tomorrowland Speedway there) tend to be low. Much lower than Autopia in Paris.

Unless you have kids who love cars, Autopia is a pretty missable attraction – and not worth the long wait times.

9) Avengers Assemble: Flight Force

Height Requirement: 1.2m +

Location: Marvel Avengers Campus, Walt Disney Studios (to be re-named Disney Adventure World)

Highlights: Roller coaster in the dark with inversions

Feel the rush of being a superhero in Avengers Assemble: Flight Force.

Join Iron Man and Captain Marvel in an epic battle on this roller coaster that goes upside down!

This was previously Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster before the re-theme (which opened in 2022).

This is a good roller coaster, but it’s not better than Crush’s Coaster – which is also in the same park.

That being said, it’s the only roller coaster with inversions at Walt Disney Studios.

If you can ride this with a wait time of under 30-45 minutes, you probably won’t be disappointed.

10) Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure

Height Requirement: No height requirement

Highlights: Interactive, family-friendly game/attraction

Location: Marvel Avengers Campus, Walt Disney Studios (soon to be re-named Disney Adventure World)

Swing into action with Spider-Man as you help him collect rogue Spider-Bots in the interactive Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure

Using motion-sensing technology, you can shoot webs with your hands – instead of a laser blaster like you can find on Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast.

Unfortunately, this ride (which only opened in 2022) requires you to wear 3D glasses – making it feel outdated already

I think it’s safe to predict that this will decrease in popularity over the next few years, as more people have a chance to ride this (and more people think it’s just okay).

Strategies for Shorter Wait Times for Disneyland Paris Attractions

  • Disney Premier Access – This is Disney’s paid FastPass system (yes, the days of free paper FastPasses are long gone 😭). You can pay for some individual attractions or for Premier Access for many attractions. This helpful post explains all you should know, from the prices to whether it’s worth te cost).

What is the number one ride at Disneyland Paris?

This is hard to say definitively, but the ride with the longest wait time is often Crush’s Coaster.

Walt Disney Studios (which will soon be re-named and updated to “Disney Adventure World”) is not the best. However, we can hope that the updates bring much-needed improvements to this mediocre park.

After all, the World of Frozen Land will *hopefully* be great (this is opening in 2026).

If you’ve visited Disney World before, Disneyland Paris may feel very small to you. However, I’d argue that it’s small in a charming way – more than in a disappointing way.
