Why You Should Stay at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- If you stay at Art of Animation, you have access to the Skyliner. This takes you to 2 theme parks (Epcot and Hollywood Studios)
- The Skyliner also takes you to three other resorts: 1) Disney’s Riviera Resort, 2) Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and 3) Disney’s Pop Century Resort (which is also within walking distance of Art of Animation). Staying on the Skyliner makes it easier to resort hop, try other dining locations and explore!
- The Disney movie theming is great, especially if you’re a fan of: The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Cars and The Lion King
- There’s a choice of Little Mermaid rooms (standard rooms) and family suites
- Art of Animation is often considered a “Value Plus” resort, as many people think it is superior to the other resorts
- It’s the newest Value resort (which opened in 2012)
- Art of Animation is home to the largest pool in Disney World, The Big Blue pool
- There are also 2 quiet pools (Cozy Cone Pool and Flippin’ Fins Pool) for a more peaceful experience
- The Little Mermaid rooms are the biggest “standard rooms on property” at 277 square feet – 17 square feet more than the other Value resort rooms!

- The least expensive resort on the Skyliner
- Easy to resort hop to the other Skyliner resorts
- Recently renovated rooms – with a murphy bed, making the room feel larger
- There are 3 pools: the main pool (Hippy Dippy Pool) and the 2 quiet pools (the Bowling Pool and Computer Pool).
- Close to Hollywood Studios and Epcot
- Perfect for 1950’s-1990’s nostalgia
Why You Should Stay at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- Perfect for fans of Disney movies, especially: Toy Story, 101 Dalmatians, Fantasia, Love Bug and The Mighty Ducks
- Close to Animal Kingdom, which is great if this is your favourite resort
- The rooms were recently renovated, and feel modern
- This resort has two pools: 1) The Fantasia Pool (the feature pool) and 2) The Duck Pond Pool (the quiet pool)
- It’s the most popular All-Star resort, as the theming here is thought to be superior to All-Star Music and Sports
- Speaking of theming, this resort feels like an extension of the parks. After all, doesn’t the Toy Story theming at All-Star Movies remind you of Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios?!

- Offers standard rooms and family suites
- Perfect theming for musicians!
- Near Animal Kingdom, which is perfect if you plan on spending a lot of time there on your next Disney vacation
- Modern rooms with a murphy bed (which is more comfortable than the murphy bed in the Polynesian DVC studios. I stayed in both in November 2022, and the All-Star Music mattress wins hands down!).
- Like All-Star Movies, this resort has two pools: one main pool (The Calypso Pool) and one quiet pool (The Piano Pool)
Why You Should Stay at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- Often the least expensive Disney hotel rooms – providing you with the Disney resort benefits at the lowest price
- Great theming for sports teams and fans
- Close to Animal Kingdom, which is great for animal lovers!
Why You Should Stay at The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
- Camping at Fort Wilderness provides you with the ability to immerse yourself in nature
- Fort Wilderness is just a beautiful boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom
- Staying at the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness is an inexpensive way of staying on Disney property (from $96 – $320 per night, depending on the season and the quality of the campsite)
- There are two pools at Fort Wilderness: the feature pool (the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool) and the leisure pool (the Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool)
