But when we look at what we’re actually getting, is it really all it’s hyped up to be? (Spoiler alert: not always).

So let’s discuss the new additions, to help you decide if it’s worth visiting Disneyland Paris to experience them.

And if the Disney Paris new attractions 2025 and beyond will enhance your experience – or make it worse.

This post is all about why the Disneyland Paris new rides and attractions are making the park experience worse.

Disneyland Paris New Rides and Attractions

Is Disneyland Paris a theme park?

Yes, Disneyland Paris is a resort with 2 theme parks and 7 on-site hotels/resorts – located in France (27 miles from the center of Paris).

Does Disneyland Paris have rides?

Yes, Disneyland Paris has had rides since it opened in 1992. And there are new rides coming to Disneyland Paris this decade!

The Changing Face of Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris has been a disjointed theme park resort since 2002 AKA the opening of Parc Walt Disney Studios.

When Disneyland Park opened in 1992, it was hardly an instant success (thanks to the huge lack of attendance). But not for a lack of trying.

The park was (and still is) considered by many to be the most beautiful Magic Kingdom style Disney park in the world.

As someone who has visited the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland in California, I have to say that Disneyland Paris is quite stunning, even when compared to these older, more established parks.

Disneyland Paris is very well-attended and beloved today. But despite the increase in attendance and revenue, Disney hasn’t invested much into Disneyland Park.

Most attractions at Disneyland Park that exist today have been there since opening day over 30 years ago.

And it’s not really an issue because the park that opened in 1992 was so incredible that it still holds up today.

So much that there will be no Disneyland Park new rides in the foreseeable future.

But in 2002, Parc Walt Disney Studios opened as a disappointment. And over 20 years later, the small improvements have not saved the park from being considered the worst Disney park in the world.

Finally, Disney is making huge investments to make this park better (which is quite similar to what they did with Disney California Adventure).

The difference? Most of the attractions at Disneyland Paris don’t appear to be special enough to save this underperforming Disney park.

In addition to Parc Walt Disney Studios, there are some big changes coming to Disney Village, as well as some of the on-site hotels.

So, let’s go through what’s coming to Disneyland Paris!

Disneyland Paris Expansion Timeline: Parc Walt Disney Studios

In the last decade or so, there have been a couple additions to try and make Walt Disney Studios a good park, including:

  • Ratatouille : L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy (informally known as the Disneyland Paris Ratatouille ride)

  • Marvel Avengers Campus (a land with 2 attractions: Avengers Assemble: Flight Force and Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure)

But now, there’s going to be some pretty massive changes to this park …

Is there a Disneyland Paris new name?

You may have heard that Parc Walt Disney Studios is getting a new name: Disney Adventure World.

Although this name may better represent the IP-heavy park, some fans think it’s disrespectful to Walt Disney to drop his name to the title (I mean, can you imagine them renaming Walt Disney World?!).

This isn’t the first time a Disneyland Paris has updated a name.

When did Euro Disney change to Disneyland Paris?

In 1994, the resort changed from Euro Disney to Disneyland Resort Paris.

So, it’s not especially surprising that Walt Disney Studios is being renamed to suit the updated park, which is increasingly less about the behind-the-scenes of movie-making, and more about the movies that Disney has made.

Disney Adventure World & Resorts: Disney Paris New Attractions 2025

First things first: let’s cover the most important Disneyland Paris news 2025!

1) World Premiere at Disney Adventure World

Is Studio 1 closing in Disneyland Paris?

disneyland paris news

Studio 1 has closed at Disneyland Paris, and is being re-themed to World Premiere, opening on May 15th, 2025.

This will re-themed location will represent a glamorous Hollywood premiere.

What is there at World Premiere:

  • The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant – a quick service restaurant
  • Searchlight Kiosk – a dining location selling snacks
  • Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique – a Disneyland Paris new merchandise location.

Is World Premiere good or bad for Disneyland Paris?

  • Studios 1 was considered to be tacky, so as long as World Premiere isn’t done as cheaply, it will probably look more aesthetically pleasing.
  • It most likely won’t help all that much to help crowds – The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant is replacing Restaurant en Coulisse. And Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique is replacing Les Légends d’Hollywood.
  • That being said some different food offerings will be VERY welcome at this small park, which doesn’t offer as much variety as Disneyland Park.

2) Disney Davy Crockett Ranch Re-Themed Cabins/Bungalows

This on-site Disney World Resort is getting brand new bungalows, with more character-heavy IP.

The first phase of updated bungalows can be booked from June 12th, 2025 for stays after summer 2025.

Just be aware that Disney does NOT provide a shuttle bus to and from the Disneyland Paris parks, so it’s not worth staying here unless you have a car. Also, be aware that it’s about a 15-minute drive away from the parks.

This renovation is certainly a great thing. I’ve stayed at this resort three times: in 2015, 2018 and 2022 – and the last time I stayed there, it was certainly looking tired.

The only downside to this will be the price increases.

That said, it will be harder for Disney to DRASTICALLY increase the prices here, as it is the most inconvenient on-site resort to stay at (thanks to the transport issues).

Disneyland Paris New Attractions 2026 & Beyond

Whilst there aren’t many attractions opening in 2025, 2026 and the next few years will see lots of exciting new rides, shows and more!

1) World of Frozen – Disney Adventure World

The Frozen Land is FINALLY coming to Disneyland Paris.

Construction is well on the way, and is opening in 2026.

The main draw here is the new Frozen Ever After ride, which uses boats to take you through well-known scenes and songs from the movies.

If you’ve been to Epcot at Walt Disney World Resort or World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland, you’ll know this ride, and we can safely assume it will be very similar (hopefully more similar to the Hong Kong Disneyland, with better animatronics).

This land will also have:

  • Meet & greet opportunities with characters from Frozen
  • Frozen shows
  • Snacks inspired by Frozen
  • And more!

This is a good thing as it will bring a beloved IP to the parks into a land that looks promising.

However, Frozen is an IP that makes more sense in Fantasyland. Disney Adventure World? Hmm, maybe not.

Especially considering it’s close to Toy Story Playland – which has nothing in common with Arundel.

Also, this land is almost guaranteed to draw a huge audience. It’s not unreasonable to expect massive crowds!

2) The Lion King Area & Land – Disney Adventure Land

Did you know that there is no ride themed after The Lion King at any Disney Park?

That is … until construction begins at Disneyland Paris in Autumn 2025!

What is the new Lion King ride at Disneyland Paris?

Disneyland Paris is getting a log-flume water attraction all about The Lion King.

Based on the somewhat limited information Disney has released, it looks similar to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, at least structurally.

disneyland paris new restaurants

The storyline will of course be different, but we can expect some parallels between these attractions (hopefully the impressive drops!).

It is due to open in 2026 (but that may be optimistic if construction doesn’t start until the latter part of this year).

This is good because Disneyland Paris doesn’t have a log flume water ride, and on those hot summer days, it will be appreciated (though the long lines it will likely garner will not be so appreciated).

However, if you’ve visited Disneyland Paris in winter, you know it can super freezing! So, if they even open this attraction during winter, I can’t imagine the lines will be that long.

When I visited Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland in December, the lines were short most the time (and California winter is a lot warmer than a Paris winter!).

3) Raiponce Tangled Spin – Disney Adventure World

Raiponce Tangled Spin – Disney Adventure World

Here’s what we know: Raiponce Tangled Spin is essentially another spinning tea cups ride.

So, if you were expecting or hoping for a ride similar to Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival at Tokyo Disneyland, now is sadly the time to lower those expectations.

Although it’s good to have another kid-friendly attraction at Disneyland Paris’ second gate, this is a pretty uninspired and uninteresting addition.

Tangled is such an excellent movie, but Disney is ignoring that, and copy and pasting a ride that is already overdone at many Disney Parks.

But hey, at Disney World, one of the only places you’ll find Tangled is at one of the restrooms in Magic Kingdom. So, I guess this is a slight upgrade. 😂

This is expected to open in 2026. I will be somewhat surprised if this is delayed, because honestly, there is hardly anything to this attraction.

But hey, maybe I’ll experience this ride next year, and decide it’s the best spinning ride at Disneyland Paris.

Until then, I’ll focus my excitement on World of Frozen.

4) UP Ride – Adventure Way, Disney Adventure World

If you thought a Tangled spinning ride was overkill, just wait till you hear about this.

UP is ALSO getting a spinning ride.

The difference? This one is a spinning swing ride which will lift you into the air for views of Disney Adventure World.

And I’m sure promoting this as a “flying carousel” isn’t a tactic to distract you from the fact that this is just a cheap ride you can find at most amusement parks. 😉

Sure, there will be some UP theming to make it slightly better, but there’s only so much you can do to theme an outdoor spinning ride.

One of the biggest potential issues with this ride is that it relies heavily on the rest of the park being beautiful.

After all, if there’s no pretty view, there’s no real point in this ride existing.

Walt Disney Studios isn’t known for its beauty. Of course, Disney Adventure World is essentially giving the park a “facelift”. But as of 2025, we don’t know if it will be enough.

Again, it’s great to have another attraction in this park, but it’s unlikely to divert crowds from the more popular attractions to really help with capacity issues.

5) Disneyland Paris New Nighttime Show – Disney Adventure World

Walt Disney Studios in Paris has often been compared to Disney California Adventure.

After all, they were both Disney parks with some Hollywood theming that opened in the early 2000s.

After recently visiting Disney California Adventure for the first time (and visiting Walt Disney Studios countless times since the late 2000s), I have come to this conclusion:

Walt Disney Studios and Disney California Adventure are two of the most underwhelming Disney Parks I’ve visited (after visiting DLP, Disneyland and Walt Disney World).

RELATED POST: What Is The Difference Between Disneyland Paris and Disney World in 2025?

However, Disney California Adventure has something that Walt Disney Studios doesn’t: a great nighttime show involving water!

But with the evolution of Walt Disney Studios into Disney Adventure World, we are getting a nighttime show that looks very similar to World of Color at DCA.

World of Color – Season of Light at Disney California Adventure

Information is a little sparse on this one, but the concept art shows Moana being projected onto water.

According to Disney, the new nighttime show will feature:

  • Massive water screens
  • Water fountains & special effects (which is pretty vague but is hopefully impressive!)
  • New (and hopefully innovative) water drone technology

This is a welcome addition to Disney Adventure World for a number of reasons:

  • It may mean this park will stay open later (maybe as late as Disneyland Park).
  • It will probably draw lots of crowds (as in thousands of guests) as it is a nighttime show – not a stage show with limited seating.
  • SO if it successfully draws crowds (which it likely will), the ride wait times in this park should reduce. Does that mean you’ll get on Crush’s Coaster in 10 minutes? No, almost definitely not. But it could help save time, if you don’t care about seeing this show often/at all.

6) The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge – Disney Adventure World

Let’s talk about The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge.

This spot promises sweeping views over Adventure World, and character dining!

That’s right: this sit-down restaurant will be the home to some Disney princesses (seemingly Princess Jasmine and Merida based on concept art, but the exact details have yet to be revealed).

It’s amazing that we’ll have a character dining location in this park for a more elevated dining experience.

The only major downside? The prices will probably be super high here. Dining with princesses usually comes at a high cost, and it is highly unlikely that this will be any exception.

7) Disney Village New Restaurants & Stores

Disney Village is undergoing some major changes, with new shops and dining locations and renovations to current offerings.

From a “state-of-the-art” McDonalds opening in 2026 to a Planet Hollywood replacement (Case Giulia – an Italian restaurant) also opening next year, there’s a lot happening here!

As you don’t have to pay to go to Disney Village, chances are some of these updates will attract more guests, but Disney Village being busier is not really a big deal (in comparison to visiting overcrowded parks).

Unless you have to wait a lot longer for your meal at a Disney Village restaurant

8) Disneyland Paris Sequoia Lodge Renovation

IT IS FINALLY HAPPENING.

Sequoia Lodge has been desperate for a refurbishment forever, and finally, Disney is investing in it!

Lots of Disneyland Paris resorts have been renovated in recent years (namely the Disneyland Hotel and Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel).

In 2026, the refurb at Sequoia Lodge starts!

This hotel will remain open throughout the renovation.

The upside? Rooms that don’t look decades years past their prime.

The dated rooms at Disney Sequoia Lodge

The downside? The room rates will likely increase a lot.

Sequoia Lodge has been priced similarly to Disney Hotel Cheyenne for years at this point.

When the quality of Sequoia Lodge undeniably outperforms Hotel Cheyenne, you better believe the prices will reflect that 🙁
