Want to know the best Disney World snacks you shouldn’t miss on your first visit? Here is your ideal guide!
Walt Disney World is known for many things: magic, characters, attractions. But arguably the most important is their awesome snacks!
With four theme parks, two water parks, Disney Springs and over twenty Resorts, there are a lot of Walt Disney World snack locations. It can be overwhelming to Disney pros – never mind guests on their first visit!
So, today I am sharing the best Disney World snacks list – with 7 snacks you should prioritise trying on your visit. These are primarily the most iconic Disney World snacks (along with a few hidden gems!).
This post is all about the best Disney World snacks you shouldn’t skip on your first visit.
The Best Disney World Snacks
[Disclaimer: if you have allergies or dietary requirements, please visit Disney’s site for more information]
1. Dole Whip
One of the most iconic snacks at Disney World is the Dole Whip.
This is a frozen soft-serve in incredible flavours, such as pineapple, lime, vanilla and more (this can change depending on the season).
You can purchase Dole Whip cups, but you can also choose any of the following variations:
- Pineapple Float
- Pineapple Upside-Down-Cake (my personal favourite and great if you have a sweet tooth!).
- Dole Whip and Alcohol combinations
- Dole Whip Cupcakes
- Pineapple Upside-down Cones
You can find Dole Whips at the following locations:
Magic Kingdom
- Sunshine Tree Terrace
- Aloha Isle
Typhoon Lagoon
- Happy Landings
- Snack Shack
Disney Springs
- Swirls on the Water
- Wine Bar George
Disney’s Boardwalk
- Boardwalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Pineapple Lanai
- Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto
- Barefoot Pool Bar
- Oasis Bar & Grill
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Contempo Café
Disney’s Old Key West Resort
- Good’s Food To Go
You can find more information on these locations here.
2. Popcorn
Okay, I know this doesn’t sound that exciting, but trust me, at Disney World, it can be.
The standard flavour of popcorn in the Disney Parks is butter (please note this is vegan). You can find this at every park.
It’s good classic popcorn that can hardly be disappointing.
(You can also purchase popcorn buckets – usually priced between $12-$25, depending on the design, and each re-fill is only $2.25).
But Disney offers plenty of more exciting flavours!
A fan-favourite is the Werther’s Original Caramel Popcorn at Karamell-Küche in the Germany Pavillion at Epcot.
Not to be dramatic, but this might just be the best caramel popcorn … ever!
And, if you feel like splurging on popcorn, go to The Main Street Confectionary, and create your own mix!
You can choose:
- The popcorn flavour (e.g. butter, cheddar, caramel – these options may vary).
- A drizzle (e.g. milk chocolate, dark chocolate etc. – these options may vary).
- Candy/Other Mix-In treats (e.g. M&Ms, marshmallows, Skittles etc. – these options may vary).
The current price for two popcorns, two mix-ins and a drizzle is $12.99 (with each additional mix-in costing an extra $1 each). So, this is definitely a splurge for popcorn, but it’s definitely memorable!
You can also purchased pre-packaged popcorn in many of the Disney gift shops, but it’s never the same as having fresh popcorn in the Disney Parks!
3. Mickey Pretzels
This is the first (but not the last) of the best Walt Disney World snacks that is Mickey-shaped!
Yes, you have probably had a pretzel before – but it’s obviously better if it’s Mickey-shaped, right?! 😂
This warmed Mickey Pretzel comes with Cheese Sauce.
I will warn you that this pretzel is VERY SALTY.
So, if you don’t like salty snacks, this probably wouldn’t be one of the best snacks at Disney World for you.
You can find Mickey Pretzels at most locations at Disney World.

4. Mickey Beignets
If you are a fan of beignets, this is the snack for you!
You can purchase 3 beignets for $6.99 or 6 beignets for $10.99 – so this can be a shareable and cost-efficient snack.
Included in the price, you can get one dipping sauce:
- Salted Caramel (I think this is the best, as it really compliments the flavour of the beignets – without being overpowering).
- Strawberry
- Chicory Chocolate Ganache
Additional dipping sauces are $1.99.
You can also find limited edition flavours of beignets for different seasons.
The only con is that they are only served at Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter most of the time.
For a limited time, Disney is selling beignets at Magic Kingdom – but only between February 1st, 2024 and March 1st, 2024 (and only with Strawberry dipping sauce).
But with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opening in late 2024, maybe Disney will start permanently selling beignets at Magic Kingdom … A girl can dream!
5. Night Blossom
Okay, so you may think this is cheating, as this is technically a drink, but it’s so good that we HAD to mention it.
If you visit Pandora at Animal Kingdom, head over to Pongu Pongu for the most unique drink!
Night Blossom is a frozen Limeade, apple and desert pear drink – with passion fruit popping pearls.
You can currently find alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of this drink.
At the time of writing this, I am under 21, so have yet to try the alcoholic version, but the non-alcoholic version is incredible – and refreshing on a humid Disney day!
6. Blueberry Muffins
I know, what?!
Blueberry muffins aren’t known for being interesting. Pretty much every coffee shop sells them.
But, there is something unique about some of the blueberry muffins at Disney World.
Now, it’s important to note that they are not all created equally (I’m looking at you, Art of Animation …), but the blueberry muffins I have tried from these locations are INCREDIBLE:
- Riverside Mill Food Court at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
- World Premiere Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- Intermission Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
- End Zone Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- The Artist’s Palette at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (a slightly different recipe to the above Resorts, but similar enough and still amazing).
Now, how do you tell the difference between a generic and an extraordinary blueberry muffin at Disney World?
Well, the good ones have visible sugar on top, and the mediocre ones, don’t. So, the good ones are probably less healthy – so keep that in mind if you’re trying to eat semi-healthily at Disney World.
But, if you’re having a cheat snack, this is the best cake I have tried at Walt Disney World!
7. Funnel Cake
Now, I only recently tried a funnel cake. I always overlooked this snack at the American Adventure Pavillion at Epcot.
But I recently tried it – with chocolate sauce – and it was incredible!
Here are the different options:
- Funnel Cake with Sugar
- Funnel Cake with Chocolate Sauce
- Funnel Cake with Whipped Cream
- Funnel Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream
- Cookies ‘n Cream Funnel Cake (with Sugar, Vanilla Ice Cream, Crushed Cookies, and Chocolate Sauce)
Pro tip: get this right before the fireworks. It’s the perfect combination. 💖
