Are you considering booking your next Disney World trip, and wondering if you should splurge on Coronado Springs Club Level? Today’s post will help you decide if Coronado Springs Club Level is worth it for you.
I recently stayed in a Club Level room at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort (in December 2023), and let’s say I have some thoughts … (and they are not entirely positive).
I also recently stayed in a Club Level room at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (in September 2023), but this was my first Club Level experience at a Moderate Resort.
In fact, Disney’s Coronado Springs is the only Moderate Resort with a Club Level.
So, is it a “bargain” (by Disney Club Level standards)? Or do the lower prices lead to decreases in quality?
From the Coronado Springs Club Level offerings to my review, let’s figure this out!
This post is all about determining whether splurging on Coronado Springs Club Level is worth it.
Coronado Springs Club Level
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Before we talk about Club Level, let’s quickly cover the basics on Coronado Springs.
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort opened on August 1st, 1997, and is one of Disney’s four main Moderate Resorts (not including the Cabins at Fort Wilderness – especially as they are now becoming a DVC property).
This resort has Mexican, Spanish and Southwest American theming – which really makes you feel like you’re on vacation.
Despite this Disney Resort having a convention center, it really provides a “vacation feeling”.
On July 9th, 2019, Gran Destino Tower opened at Coronado Springs – with 545 new guest rooms – including 5o suites for larger parties, or guests or wanting more space. And it also opened with a Club Level – making it the first Moderate Resort to offer this.

What is Coronado Springs Club Level?
If you stay Club Level in Gran Destino Tower, you are essentially a “VIP” during your stay.
The cost of Club Level (keep reading to find out about the pricing) allows you to experience a number of perks and benefits.
What does Club Level Access Include at Coronado Springs?
- Access to Chronos Club – an exclusive lounge only for guests staying in Club Level Rooms and Suites.
- “Complimentary” food and drinks at Chronos Club throughout the day.
- The ability to talk to dedicated concierge cast members – available to help you during your stay. For example, if you need help with reservations, there should be a cast member available to advise you if necessary. This can be especially helpful if you’re not very familiar with Disney World, and some of their booking systems for Genie+ or dining reservations etc.

Is Coronado Springs Club Level Worth It?
No, not really …
Hypothetically, Coronado Springs Club Level should be the best value of all the Club Level options at Walt Disney World. But unfortunately, just because it’s cheaper than the other options, doesn’t mean it’s the best (or even good) value.
For potentially a few hundred dollars more per night (depending on the time of your visit), the Club Level benefits simply aren’t worth it.
Whilst all the cast members were helpful and friendly, the food served at Chronos Club does not warrant the price.
The breakfast is pretty good, the lunch is decent, dinner was awful – unless you eat meat and fish. And dessert was okay.
Overall, it was very mediocre – especially in comparison to Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Club Level – which had a better selection of food (even for me, as a Vegetarian, which was somewhat unexpected).
If you want to splurge on a Club Level, it might be worth paying a little extra and staying at a Deluxe Resort (the only Club Level I have experienced at a Deluxe Resort is Animal Kingdom Lodge, so you may want to research the others as well),
Would I stay here again? Yes, I love Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, and the Tower is gorgeous. But I can’t see myself booking a Club Level room in the foreseeable future (or perhaps ever again).

So, Could Coronado Springs Club Level Be Worth It For You?
For some people, maybe. If you’re not a Vegetarian/Vegan, you might really enjoy the food.
But in most cases, I don’t think it’s worth the added expense. Especially when you’re staying at a Disney Resort with Three Bridges (with some of the best food on Disney property, if you ask me).
This was my second stay at Coronado Springs, and I preferred not feeling like I had to eat at Club Level, and just eating where I wanted to.
But, that’s just me. If you like the convenience of having unlimited food and drinks at Chronos Club (which you essentially paid in the price of your room), you may feel differently.
