Are you taking a Disney World trip and want to know about every Coronado Springs pool before your stay? You’ve arrived at the right place!
From the tranquil waters of the Lost City of Cibola to the leisure pools, we’ll explore the distinct personality of each pool.
Let’s dive into the refreshing world of Coronado Springs Resort’s four spectacular pools.
This post is all about every Coronado Springs pool you should know about.
Every Coronado Springs Pool
Although there are certainly differences between Feature Pools and Leisure Pools (as we will discuss later), it is important to note that all pools have loungers and have “complimentary” towels for Coronado Springs Resort guests (as well as a place to return your towels).
Coronado Springs’ Feature Pools
1) Lost City of Cibola Pool
Pool Times: 10 AM – 10 PM (please note that this is subject to change)
Nestled at the heart of Coronado Springs Resort is The Dig Site – home to the feature pool – the Lost City of Cibola Pool at The Dig Site.
As the “main pool”, it is a testament to the resort’s blend of rich theming and modern amenities. Boasting an elaborate Mayan pyramid, waterfalls, and a giant, serpent-themed water slide, this pool is a visual feast that transports you to a mythical city lost in time.
Surrounded by lush greenery and comfortable loungers, it’s a perfect spot to relax and recharge after a day of theme park adventures.
But the enchantment doesn’t stop there. The Dig Site is also home to the largest hot tub of all Disney World resorts.
This is especially great if you’re visiting during Winter. It’s far less exciting during Florida’s humid Summer months.
There is also a small kids’ pool at The Dig Site.
You can find the Siestas Cantina Pool Bar at The Dig Site. This is a Quick Service Kiosk location.
Whether you’re plunging down the slide, basking in the warm waters of the hot tub, or simply enjoying the vibrant atmosphere, the Lost City of Cibola Pool promises an experience like no other at Disney World.
But please be aware that this tends to be the busiest and loudest pool, so if you’re looking for calm relaxation, you will probably want to check out Coronado Springs’ Leisure Pools:
Coronado Springs’ Leisure Pools
In addition to its Marvellous feature pool, Coronado Springs is home to three peaceful leisure pools.
Please note that leisure pools do not have lifeguards or water slides, and often have different opening times to Coronado Springs’ Feature Pool (though this may vary).
2) Leisure Pool at the Casitas
Pool Times: 7 AM – 11 PM (please note that this is subject to change)
Located within the surroundings of the Casitas at Coronado Springs is the inviting Leisure Pool—a serene oasis that beckons guests to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. This hidden gem offers a more secluded and intimate setting compared to the bustling feature pool.
Surrounded by the charming and vibrant architecture of the Casitas, the Leisure Pool provides a peaceful retreat. Whether you’re seeking a refreshing swim or simply wish to bask in the Florida sun, this pool is idyllic.
Lounge chairs line the poolside, inviting you to kick back with a good book or take a leisurely nap.
You can also find the La Vida Fitness Center here – which is open 24 hours a day. (Please be aware that spa services are currently unavailable).
With its laid-back atmosphere, the Leisure Pool at the Casitas perfectly balances the excitement of your Disney World vacation. It’s a haven for those looking to enjoy a quiet moment of relaxation amidst the magic of Coronado Springs Resort.

3) Leisure Pool at the Ranchos
Pool Times: 7 AM – 11 PM (please note that this is subject to change)
Tucked away in the charming Ranchos district of Coronado Springs Resort, the Leisure Pool offers a tranquil escape amid the rustic beauty of the Southwest. This pool provides a more relaxed setting for guests seeking a peaceful retreat.
Surrounded by the earthy tones and inspired theming of the Ranchos, the Leisure Pool captures the essence of a desert oasis.
The poolside is adorned with comfortable loungers, if you don’t want to spend all your time in the pool.
Whether you’re looking for a refreshing swim or a tranquil place to recharge, the Leisure Pool at the Ranchos is a hidden gem within Coronado Springs. It’s a delightful addition to the array of recreational options, providing a serene counterpoint to the vibrant energy of the theme parks.
4) Leisure Pool at the Cabanas
Pool Times: 10 AM – 10 PM (please note that this is subject to change)
Nestled within the Cabanas district of Coronado Springs Resort, the Leisure Pool offers a haven of relaxation and recreation.
This inviting oasis provides a more secluded and intimate atmosphere compared to the bustling main feature pool.
Surrounded by lush landscaping and the vibrant colours of the Cabanas, the Leisure Pool is a serene retreat.
The tranquil waters beckon guests to enjoy a leisurely swim or simply unwind by the poolside.
Comfortable loungers and shady umbrellas complete the setting, creating an ideal space to escape the Florida sun and enjoy a moment of peace.
The Cabanas Leisure Pool is not just a refreshing amenity; it’s a peaceful getaway within the resort, allowing guests to recharge between their busy – and perhaps chaotic – Disney adventures.
Please note that when I stayed here in December 2023, this Leisure Pool was NOT heated. This is subject to change, but you may want to check this, if you were planning to go to this pool (especially in the Winter!).
Whether you’re seeking a quiet swim or a serene place to read a good book, this pool offers a delightful escape in the heart of the magical Coronado Springs experience.
