1. Alien Swirling Saucers

Location: Toy Story Land

Located in no other than Toy Story Land, this attraction invites you to hop aboard a spinning toy rocket and whirl through the galaxy.

The saucer-shaped ride vehicles are a nod to their otherworldly origins, and the entire attraction is set against the colourful backdrop of Andy’s backyard, making you feel like you’ve shrunk down to the size of a toy.

Once on board, you’ll sit in your flying saucer. Prepare for an interstellar dance party as your saucer starts spinning and twirling.

If you’re travelling with younger guests, you might want to check this out, as there aren’t many suitable Disney Hollywood Studios attractions for little ones.

But, with other innovative rides at Hollywood Studios (from Rise of the Resistance to The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror), a spinning ride just isn’t all that exciting – especially for older kids, teens and adults.

2. Disney Junior Play and Dance!

Location: Animation Courtyard

For the littlest Disney fans in your family, there’s no better place to let their imaginations run wild than at Disney Junior Play and Dance!

This lively and interactive show and dance party is perfect for preschool-aged children who love their favourite Disney Junior characters.

Your little ones can immerse themselves in the magical worlds of beloved characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and more.

The show is a delightful experience combining storytelling with music and dance. Talented performers take the stage to bring these beloved characters to life, engaging the audience with their energetic and captivating performance.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is an immersive attraction that puts you in the heart of the Star Wars galaxy, allowing you to live out your own intergalactic saga.

This attraction invites you to become a part of Hondo Ohnaka’s flight crew as you take on the role of a smuggler. Your mission? To navigate the legendary Millennium Falcon on a daring and dangerous journey.

Before your mission starts, you’ll receive your role assignment: pilot, gunner, or engineer. Each role plays a critical part in the success of your mission, and teamwork is vital.

These include: 1) Pilot, 2)Flight, 3) Engineer, and 4)Gunner.

Once on board, the ship comes to life, and you’ll feel the rumble of the engines as you take off into space.

I often like interactive attractions. From Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor at Magic Kingdom to even the next attraction on this list.

But I hate being assigned roles and being unable to sit back and enjoy this simulator ride. It ends up feeling like a high-pressure chore. Can you tell this is my least favourite Disney World attraction?! 😂

Believe it or not, I think Star Tours – The Adventures Continue is much more enjoyable.

4. Toy Story Mania!

Highlights: Spinning (but not much), COMPETITION!

Location: Toy Story Land

Toy Story Mania! is an interactive and immersive experience that brings the beloved characters from the Toy Story movies to life in a whole new way.

As you board your ride vehicle, you’ll wear a pair of 3D glasses – your ticket to the Toy Story Mania! world.

The ride takes you through a series of carnival-style games, each hosted by a different Toy Story character. Your mission is to aim, shoot, and rack up points as you play through zany and entertaining mini-games.

One moment, you find yourself launching darts at balloons, and then you’re breaking plates. Each game offers a unique challenge, and it’s up to you and your fellow riders to see who can score the most points.

I actually like this attraction (which has nothing to do with the fact that I won the last two games I played. Obviously).

However, the queues for Toy Story Mania! can get quite long. Although this is a good ride, it’s not worth waiting over an hour for it. After all, Toy Story Mania! is kind of a glorified video game.

That said, if the wait time is manageable, or you have Genie+, most guests probably wouldn’t regret checking it out (unless you lose!).

5. Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie

Location: Echo Lake

Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie is an animated short – celebrating the joy, laughter, and love that Mickey and Minnie share on their countless adventures around the world.

It’s definitely cute, but it’s not a must-see attraction if you’re strapped for time.

If you plan to watch one show at Hollywood Studios, there are better options – from For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration to Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage.
