Are you planning a day trip to Walt Disney World and looking for Disney World 1 day tickets?
Perhaps, you live locally (if so, check out the Florida resident ticket prices). Or maybe you’re vacationing in Florida and want one day of magic.
It’s no secret that everything in Disney World is expensive. And I mean, EVERYTHING.
Unfortunately, Disney World 1 day tickets are no exception.
That being said, today, we are going to cover the prices of Disney World 1 day tickets throughout the year (highlighting the less expensive times).
This post is all about the prices of Disney World 1 day tickets.

1 day tickets at Disney World fluctuate in price throughout the year.
Yes, Disney World ticket prices are like the stock market – but more confusing.
Throughout the year, they range in price from $109 – $189 (plus tax) for access – depending on which park you visit.
As a general rule, Animal Kingdom is the least expensive to visit and Magic Kingdom is the most expensive. Hollywood Studios is the second most expensive, closely followed by Epcot (though this is subject to change).
But remember, this only provides access to one park on your Disney World day trip.
Disney World 1 Day Park Hopper Tickets
If you want the park hopper option (the ability to visit more than one park on your Disney World trip), this will cost even more – on top of your 1 day ticket.
If you want the Park Hopper add-on, this is likely to cost an additional $60-$80 per ticket. This provides you with access to more than one theme park after 2 PM.
For the same benefits as well as access to the water parks (Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach), the Park Hopper Plus option would cost you an additional $85 per ticket.

The Cheapest Days To Visit Disney World
The cheapest 1 day Disney World ticket is $109 + tax. To be clear, $109 tickets are for Animal Kingdom only.
Hollywood Studios tickets cost you $129 + tax on the cheapest days.
Epcot 1 day tickets are slightly less at $119-$124 + tax.
And the most expensive Disney World 1 day tickets are for Magic Kingdom – at $129-$134 + tax.
Now, this is hardly cheap, but it’s definitely better than $189 at peak times.
If you’re planning a Disney World trip on a budget, I would suggest visiting at a low season (and more affordable time).
The cheapest days (from January 2024 – December 2024) to visit Disney World (to secure a $109-$134 ticket) are:
- January: No $109-$134 days
- February: No $109-$134 days
- March: No $109-$134 days
- April: No $109-$134 days
- May: No $109-$134 days
- June: No $109-$134 days
- July: No $109-$134 days
- August: EIGHT $109-$134 days (on selected weekdays. That’s one more $109-$134 day than there was in August 2023!)
- September: THIRTEEN $109-$134 days (on selected weekdays – avoiding Labor Day. That’s the same number of $109-$134 days as September 2023!)
- October: No $109-$134 days
- November: No $109-$134 days
- December: No $109-$134 days
As you can see, it’s very rare to find $109-$134 Disney World 1 Day Tickets tickets, unless you happen to be visiting on a weekday during the middle of hurricane season.

As August and September clearly show, it’s very possible; just not overly probable – especially if you’re visiting on a weekend.
BUT keep in mind that day tickets at Magic Kingdom tend to be lower on these days, because of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (a special ticketed event in the evening). So, check this before purchasing your 1-day ticket – if you’re planning to visit this time of year!

The Most Expensive Days To Visit Disney World
The most expensive tickets showing on Disney World’s site are currently listed as $164+ per day (so take $159 as a baseline).
- February (16th-24th): $164 – $184 per day (the Princess Half Marathon Weekend takes place February 22nd-25th)
- March (29th-31st): $164 – $184 per day over the Easter period
- November (24th-30th): $164 – $189 per day over the Thanksgiving period
- December (22nd-31st): $164 – $189 per day over the Christmas and New Year period
It is no surprise that the most expensive days to visit Disney World fall at two of the biggest American holidays: Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The Thanksgiving period at Disney World
I spent Thanksgiving at Disney World in 2022, and it wasn’t that different to a regular day at Disney World.
The only difference I noticed was the Thanksgiving marching band before the parade – which was a lovely addition to the day.
If you want Thanksgiving to really feel like Thanksgiving, Disney World may not be the best place to go.
(Keep in mind, that I’m from England, so I learnt most of what I know about Thanksgiving from episodes of Friends. Don’t take what I’m saying about Thanksgiving too seriously 😂).
That being said, if you want to go to Disney World on Thanksgiving, I recommend trying to get a reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom.
But don’t forget; this is a table service restaurant. So, the prices of your tickets and meals could end up being extortionate.

When I was there for Thanksgiving, the crowds were high the week of Thanksgiving, but they were moderate on Thanksgiving at Magic Kingdom in the morning and early afternoon. Epcot was almost desolate the evening of Thanksgiving, so crowds may vary a little, depending on which part of the Thanksgiving period you visit – and which park(s).
The Christmas Period at Disney World
Unlike the Thanksgiving period, Walt Disney World goes all out for Christmas!
There are trees, gingerbread carousels and houses, oh my!
If you spend the Christmas – New Year period at Disney World, it would be almost impossible not to feel festive.
If you visit during this time, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party most likely would’ve finished, so you wouldn’t require an additional ticket to access Magic Kingdom at any time.

1 Day Ticket Prices Throughout the Months In Disney World
Although Disney World 1 day tickets can be priced between $109 – $189, the prices are not always on one end of the spectrum.
A lot of the year, they are “moderately priced” (the prices shown are the base prices before tax – so they may be more expensive, depending on the park you visit).
Now remember, these prices aren’t low, but they’re lower than a lot of other days at Walt Disney World.

- February: between $134+ and $164+
- March: between $154+ and $164+
- April: between $149+ and $159+
