It might not be time to deck the halls yet, but that doesn’t mean we can’t look at Disney World Christmas party dates for later this year!

Like any Disney vacation, it requires a lot of careful planning. And this is especially true during the Holiday Season.

If you are planning to go to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or Disney Jollywood Nights (assuming they take place in 2024), you will need to figure out the Disney World Christmas party dates that coincide with your visit.

Disney hasn’t announced the 2024 dates yet, but by looking at the Disney World Christmas Party 2023 dates, we can make educated guesses on the Christmas party dates for this year.

When the Disney World Christmas party dates for 2024 are announced, I will update this post. But until then, let’s speculate based on last year’s dates, so we can start making our Festive Disney plans for 2024! 🎄✨

Disney World Christmas Party Dates

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Since 1983, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has been held at the Magic Kingdom – and has become a tradition for many guests throughout the decades.

This party is infamous for its Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, snow on Main Street and “complimentary” hot cocoa and cookies (which tasted like Play-Doh in 2022, but have definitely improved in 2023! Let’s hope they’re still good in 2024 😂).

It is also a great opportunity to ride popular attractions (from the Jingle Cruise to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train) with shorter wait times.

In 2023, ticket prices for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets were:

Adults (Ages 10+): $159-$199 per ticket + tax

Children (Ages 3-9): $149 to $189 per ticket + tax

If you are an Annual Passholder or an eligible Disney Vacation Club Member (with a Blue Card), you can receive a $10 discount – on select nights.

Disney Jollywood Nights

In 2023, Disney Jollywood Nights – a new festive party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – premiered.

Whilst it was known for being chaotic and disorganized in the beginning, by the end of the holidays, this party was seen as a good event by many guests (including me).

Jollywood Nights is essentially Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party’s older sister. This party is focused on cool drinks and snacks, shows and glamour!

Just like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you can also go on attractions with very short wait times (though you do have to pre-book Rise of the Resistance).

In 2023, ticket prices for Disney Jollywood Nights were:

Tickets cost between $159-$179 for this event.

If you are an Annual Passholder or an eligible Disney Vacation Club member (with a Blue Card), you can save $10 per ticket. This discount is valid for every night of this event.

It’s important to note that you don’t get any complimentary food or drinks at Disney Jollywood Nights – unlike Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

While we are waiting for Disney to confirm the official 2024 dates for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, here are the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2023 dates:

In 2023, there were 25 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party nights – from November 9th – December 22nd. Even if you are taking a short trip to Disney World over the holiday season, chances are a party will coincide with the time of your vacation.

20 of these dates fall on a weekday:

1 on a Monday
6 on a Tuesday
1 on a Wednesday
6 on a Thursday
6 on a Friday

The remaining 5 dates fall on a weekend – a Sunday, to be more specific. There were no dates on a Saturday.

This is especially important to know if you are planning a weekend trip to Disney World.

Disney Jollywood Nights Party 2024 Dates (TBC)

Once again, while we are waiting for Disney to confirm the official 2024 dates for Disney Jollywood Nights, let’s take a look at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2023 dates:

November 2023:

Saturday, November 11th
Saturday, November 18th
Monday, November 20th
Monday, November 27th
Wednesday, November 29th

December 2023:

Monday, December 4th
Wednesday, December 6th
Saturday, December 16th
Monday, December 18th
Wednesday, December 20th

There are only 10 Jollywood Nights, though this could change in 2024, as it would be the second year of the party (and the first year is essentially a “test run”).

However, Disney can’t forget guests who are not attending the parties, so it is unlikely that Jollywood Nights would also have as many as 25 parties during the holiday season.

Based on 2023 dates, 7 of the Jollywood Nights dates were weekdays:

4 on a Monday
3 on a Wednesday

There were no Jollywood Nights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

The 3 remaining dates fell at a weekend (on a Saturday). There were no Jollywood Nights on a Sunday.

When do Disney World Christmas Party Tickets Go On Sale?

Usually, Disney World releases tickets for their Christmas parties in late June – early July of that year, so chances are all the details about Disney’s Christmas Parties will be released about halfway through 2024.
