Disney World is known for many things: the castle, fireworks and – most excitingly – elaborate celebrations. Disney World Halloween events are no exception to this.
Like many celebrations, Disney World likes to go all out for Halloween.
In order to make sure you’re prepared for the celebrations, it can be helpful to plan what you want to experience and see. And that is especially true at Halloween.
This post covers everything you need to know about Disney World Halloween events.

1. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
Perhaps, the most famous Walt Disney World Halloween event is Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
At this party, you can enjoy the following:
- Trick or treating, as much as you’d like – to your heart’s (and stomach’s) content
- Dressing up for the occasion (check out the Park Dress Guidelines here).
- Fewer crowds and lines (one time at the Halloween party, we walked right onto Splash Mountain; there was literally NO ONE ahead of us).
- Meeting characters, all dressed up for Halloween.
- Watching Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade.
- Seeing the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular show.
- Watching the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks.
- You can see The Cadaver Dans (who are usually ‘The Dapper Dans’ on Main Street U.S.A.) in Frontierland.
- Laughing at the Halloween Party Version of Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor.

@caffeinebythecastle I went to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party & had a spooktacular time! 🎃👻Controversial opinion, but I prefer it to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! 🎄🎁 Have you been to these Disney World parties?! 💖 #disneyworldhalloween #disneyhalloween

Here are the food offerings.
5. Shopping for Halloween Merchandise
If you really want to advertise your love for Disney and Halloween, I’m sure you’ll enjoy shopping for Halloween souvenirs throughout the parks, resorts and Disney Springs.
It’s one of the things I’m looking forward to the most on my next August Disney World trip!
6. Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort at Halloween
At this resort, you can enjoy the following Halloween events and activities:
