There’s nothing better than dining at Disney. Until you realise that there are hundreds of Disney dining locations, and you won’t get a chance to dine at every single one.

1. More Luxurious & Magical Experience

As I’ve already mentioned, table service dining locations offer an upgraded setting, where you can enjoy your amazing (and simultaneously overpriced) food!

After all, the ambience at Be Our Guest can’t really be compared to The Lunching Pad. That being said, the high prices of Be Our Guest really can’t be compared to The Lunching Pad.

In order to have a more luxurious dining experience, you will be paying a premium. Often, this won’t be value for money or worth it for a lot of people.

2. Some Table Service Locations Also Offer Character Dining

Many people can justify the high cost of eating at table service restaurants by going to locations which offer character dining.

This is where characters will come and meet you during your meal.

This can become cost-effective, as it can save you A LOT of time waiting in ridiculously long lines to meet your favourite characters. This is even better if you have little ones who struggle waiting in line (or if you just don’t want to – I get it!).

3. More Relaxed Experience

If you opt for a table service meal, you won’t have to worry about waiting in annoyingly long lines. And let’s not forget; this may be  outside in the heat, rain or storms) to order and collect your food.

Instead, you will be seated at the time you booked; then, your order will be taken by a cast member, who will also bring your food to your table. Yes, this is definitely a more leisurely experience.

4. May Provide You With A Better Escape From Extreme Weather Conditions

As someone who usually visits Disney World in July-September, I understand Florida’s extreme weather conditions. How it can go from the extreme heat which could melt Elsa’s castle to storms with thunder so loud, it makes you jump like the ghosts in the Haunted Mansion.

If you dine at a table service restaurant, it is likely that you’ll be eating in an inside, air-conditioned location, protecting you from the insane conditions outside.

5. Great for planners

If you like to plan every detail of your Disney vacation in advance (I might also be guilty of this …), Disney World table service dining may be perfect for you!

60 days in advance, you can book your table service dining reservations. If you book your Disney dining reservations at the 60-day mark, you can make all your other plans around this.

That being said, if you are spontaneous and like to go with the flow, deciding what to eat 2 months in advance may be less than ideal for you.

6. Fine dining options

If you are a fancy foodie, you can find your perfect table service dining locations at Disney World.

Disney World currently offers over 25 fine/signature dining locations.

This includes Queen Victoria’s Room at Victoria & Albert’s, where the pre-fix menu is $375 per person! Absolutely perfect if you have a champagne taste on an EXPENSIVE CHAMPAGNE budget 🥂😂

7. A great escape from the crowds

It’s hot. It’s crowded. It’s Christmas Day. Or, Easter. Or the 4th of July. Do you want to go wait in a long line? Then, struggle to find a table?

I’m assuming your answer to the above is “no”.

This is where a Disney World table service restaurant becomes the best option.

Speaking from experience (being at Disney World on Thanksgiving), it was nice to escape the crowds and dine at Liberty Tree Tavern.

So, if you’re at Disney World at a peak time, I would consider making some table service dining reservations, if you would like to escape the crowds.

8. Dining with unique, exquisite views

There are Disney World table service restaurants that are more focused on providing a great experience (than the food – which can still be great).

For example, when you are dining at Sanaa (at Animal Kingdom Lodge), you can have breathtaking Savannah views!

Whilst you’re captivated by the stunning Savannah views, I highly recommend ordering the bread service (it’s famous among Disney fans for a reason)!

9. Buffet Options

If you want a “fancier” meal than what a quick service location can offer, but like to pick and choose what you eat, a buffet might be the best option for you.

They can also be the best value for money, depending on your appetite.

Some of them also offer character dining, potentially increasing the value even more.
