Largest DVC Deluxe Studio Rooms
Overview of DVC Deluxe Studio Rooms
DVC Deluxe Studio Rooms are popular with Disney Vacation Club members.
They are smaller than DVC Villas, but they are the most economical choice – and are ideal for smaller groups.
Deluxe Studios offer more space and unique features compared to standard hotel rooms.Â
What Makes DVC Deluxe Studio Rooms Unique?
What sets the DVC Deluxe Studio Rooms apart from typical accommodations? It’s the thoughtful design and special features that make all the difference.
- Spacious Layout: Unlike regular hotel rooms, most studios offer a roomy layout that feels more like a tiny apartment. This means you can spread out and relax, just like at home.
- Comfortable Sleeping Arrangements: There is a mix of beds, usually including a queen-sized bed and a murphy bed or sleeper sofa (and sometimes a pull-down twin bed – depending on if the DVC room capacity is 4 or 5). Deluxe Studios even include a kitchenette, adding an extra layer of convenience for families.
Comparison with Standard Rooms: Disney Deluxe VS DVC Room Size Comparison
When it comes to size, the DVC Deluxe Studio Rooms hold a considerable advantage over standard accommodations. Let’s look at some specifics:
- Typical Size: Some Deluxe hotel rooms (e.g. at Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge) are often smaller than DVC Deluxe Studios. However, DVC Studios are often approximately the same size or smaller than rooms at other Deluxe Studios. That being said, Deluxe Studios often have a better layout (e.g. with kitchenette), and are almost always more cost-effective – whether youâre renting DVC points or using your own points.
- Spacious Living Area: The extra space means more room for activities, luggage, and relaxation. Whether it’s extra space for a stroller or just wanting to stretch out, itâs pretty great.
- Practical Layout: The layout often includes separate areas for sleeping, dining, and lounging, creating a more functional living space.

Number of Points Required To Stay in These Studios (based on 2025 points chart):

- Preferred (Lake) View – 19 – 43 points per night
What You Should Know about the Original Deluxe Studios at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows:

- They are recently refurbished and absolutely stunning (with some *VERY* subtle Moana theming – way more toned down than the Polynesian hotel rooms).
- They are the same size as the Polynesian hotel rooms – so huge!
- They sleep 5 guests

440 square ft. – The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (Resort Studios)
Okay, so you can argue that I’m cheating, as a Resort Studio is not the same as a Deluxe Studio.
The Resort Studios are basically just hotel rooms.
Grand Floridian also has Deluxe Studios, but they are 374 square ft., so they don’t make it on this list.
Number of Points Required To Stay in These Studios (based on 2025 points chart):
- Standard View – 16 – 37 points per night
- Lake View – 19 – 44 points per night
- Theme Park View – 24 – 54 points per night
What You Should Know about the Resort Studios at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa:
- There is NO kitchenette here.
- They have subtle Mary Poppins theming.
- They sleep 5 guests.
- These are arguably the fanciest DVC Studios – they’re at the only on-site 5-star hotel!

423 square ft. – Disney’s Riviera Resort (Deluxe Studios – Not Tower Studios!)
Just to be clear, the Tower Studios (the tiny studios that only sleep 2 guests on a Murphy bed) are NOT 423 square feet.
The Deluxe Studios, however, are some of the largest DVC rooms on property!
Number of Points Required To Stay in These Studios (based on 2025 points chart):
- Standard View – 14 – 32 points per night
- Preferred View – 17 -40 points per night
What You Should Know about the Deluxe Studios at Disney’s Riviera Resort:
- Some Standard View studios provide views of the Epcot fireworks.
- They are some of the most modern and luxurious DVC studios.
- They are the most expensive studios – excluding those at the Monorail resorts (though Riviera’s studios are more expensive on average than Bay Lake Towers’!).
390 square ft. – Disney’s Old Key West Deluxe Studios
Number of Points Required To Stay in These Studios (based on 2025 points chart):
Standard & Near Facilities: 9 – 26 points per night
What You Should Know about the Deluxe Studios at Disney’s Old Key West Resort:
- It’s the same price to stay in Deluxe Studios near the hospitality house (aka “preferred”) as it is the standard studios.
- This is always one of the cheapest DVC studios at Disney World.
- There are two queen beds, which sleeps 4 guests (there is no sofa or Murphy bedâwhy can’t more studios be like this?!).

Tips for Booking the Largest DVC Deluxe Studio Rooms
Booking the largest DVC Deluxe Studio Rooms at Disney can feel like a daunting task, but with the right approach, you can maximize your chances of grabbing these coveted spaces. Whether youâre planning a magical family vacation or a peaceful getaway, knowing when and how to book can make all the difference.
When to Book for the Best Availability
Timing is everything, especially when reserving the biggest and best rooms at Disney. The Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members are privy to early booking windows that offer significant advantages. Here are some insights into the ideal times to book:
- 11 Months in Advance: If you’re a DVC member, you can book your home resort up to 11 months ahead of your check-in date. If you are renting DVC points, you can make your request at this point.
- 7 Months in Advance: DVC members: remember this is the time you can book at other resorts! If the studio you want has no availability for your dates, be sure to waitlist this (anecdotally, I have successfully managed to get most of my waitlist requests in the past. Thereâs no guarantee. But thereâs also no harm in trying!).
Using Points Wisely
- Split Stays To Maximize Experience: Consider booking a split stay, where you stay at more than one resort during your vacation. This strategy lets you experience different themes and settings and can help in optimizing and managing points effectively. This is especially helpful if you canât book your entire vacation at the resort you want to stay at (e.g. I managed to book 3 nights at Beach Club on my recent 9-night vacation. This is not my home resort, so getting 9 nights in a studio here at the 7-month mark would be nearly impossible. To prevent this being an issue, I had an awesome split stay instead!). Unless you really hate the thought of moving partway through your vacation, itâs worth considering this.
