Magic Kingdom Events
What do we mean by ‘Magic Kingdom events’?
In this post, we’re talking about evening parties/celebrations/occasions where you need an additional ticket to enter (not just a standard ticket that permits your entrance to Magic Kingdom).
Do these Magic Kingdom events impact the regular Magic Kingdom hours?
Magic Kingdom events can definitely impact the regular operating hours of the park, often extending them to accommodate the special festivities.
During these events, Magic Kingdom closes early to regular day guests and remains open exclusively for ticketed event attendees.
This means that if you don’t have event tickets, you’ll need to plan your visit accordingly to ensure they have ample time to experience the park before it closes.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of the most popular seasonal events at Magic Kingdom, offering a spook-tacular experience for guests of all ages.
This special-ticket event takes place on select nights from August through October and transforms the park into a Halloween wonderland filled with themed entertainment and exclusive offerings.
During Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, guests can enjoy trick-or-treating around the park, encounter favourite Disney characters dressed in their Halloween costumes, and watch the extremely fun Boo-to-You Halloween Parade.
You can stop by the castle to see the popular stage show, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular.
One of the coolest things about the party is the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular – the fireworks show, which tells an entertaining Halloween-inspired story!

@caffeinebythecastle I went to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party & had a spooktacular time! 🎃👻Controversial opinion, but I prefer it to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! 🎄🎁 Have you been to these Disney World parties?! 💖 #disneyworldhalloween #disneyhalloween
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a seasonal event held at Magic Kingdom during the holiday season, typically from November to December.
This special-ticket event transforms the park into a winter wonderland filled with seasonal entertainment and refreshments (cookies, hot cocoa, apple cider and eggnog).
(The cookies aren’t always the best – they weren’t that great in 2022, but improved drastically in 2023 – so I have high hopes for 2024 😂).
During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you can enjoy exclusive experiences, including Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, featuring classic and beloved Disney characters.
There are also castle stage shows, such as Frozen Holiday Surprise and Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration.
Another highlight of the event is the spectacular holiday fireworks show, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, which is festive and fun!
In addition to the festive entertainment, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party offers unique character meet-and-greet opportunities with Disney characters decked out in their holiday attire.

Disney’s After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park
Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park is a special ticketed event that offers guests an exclusive opportunity to enjoy the park with minimal crowds and more bearable wait times for attractions.
This 3-hour event allows guests to explore Magic Kingdom after regular park hours.

One of the highlights of Disney After Hours is the inclusion of complimentary snacks and beverages, which are available at select locations throughout the park.

The number of tickets available for each event is limited, allowing guests to enjoy shorter wait times in the park.
Additionally, guests with tickets to Disney After Hours can enter the park earlier than the event start time, giving them even more time to enjoy the attractions before the crowds arrive – from 7 PM. The event officially starts at 10 PM and finishes at 1 AM.
