Wearing Makeup For Disney World? Here are the Best, Long-Lasting Makeup Products You Should Try!

MAKEUP FOR DISNEY

Planning to wear makeup for Disney World on your upcoming trip, but wondering which products will last and look naturally glamorous?

BEST MAKEUP FOR DISNEY WORLD

This is something I’ve always wondered about as a Disney and makeup lover!

Luckily, after visiting Disney World and testing out these products, I have a curated collection of Disney-proof products!

Whether you’re meeting your favourite characters, braving thrilling rides, or exploring enchanting lands, these makeup products are perfect!

This post is all about the best products to use if you’re wearing makeup for your Disney World trip.

Best Products To Use If You’re Wearing Makeup For Disney World

Sunscreen

If you remember one product every day of your trip, it really should be sunscreen.

After all, a quarter-sized amount on your face (and don’t forget your body!) will protect you from the sun.

Bondi Sands Sunscreens

I highly recommend these fragrance-free, affordable, Bondi Sands Sunscreens.

The Daily Moisturising SPF 50 Fragrance Free Face Sunscreen Lotion is a nice moderately moisturising (but not greasy) facial sunscreen. This provides an excellent base for makeup.

Another favourite from Bondi Sands is their Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Fragrance Free Sunscreen Lotion. This is not a facial sunscreen, but since the ingredients are almost identical (when you read the lists on both bottles), I have no issue applying thus to my face. It is slightly more tacky, but it’s so slight that it makes no difference, and you wouldn’t notice it unless you’ve already tried the face sunscreen lotion.

In a way, this is a better base for makeup as it is very slightly “tackier”.

You also get double the product for around the same price, and it’s more versatile, as you can use it on your body as well.

Face Primer

This is an optional step, but depending on the primer you opt for, it can smooth out your skin, give you a glow (not that you need it in Florida!) or make your makeup last longer.

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer, Hydrating + 12 Hour Makeup Grip

makeup disney 100

This primer is under $7, and is one of the most game-changing makeup products if you’re going to Disney World.

I’m sure you’ve seen the viral gripping primers (think Milk Makeup or elf). This is practically a less sticky and more affordable dupe for those, but it helps to keep your makeup in place.

It is a little tacky and doesn’t smooth out pores, but it does what it’s meant to do, and it’s very affordable.

Foundations/BB Creams

This is an optional product, as it can get pretty hot and sweaty in Florida (especially in the Summer months).

But if you want to wear a foundation or BB cream, here are some of the best options!

For reference, my skin type is normal to dry, but it used to be oily, so I’ve really put these products to the test!

PURITO Cica Clearing BB Cream

This is one of the prettiest complexion products I have ever used!

It’s a medium-coverage, vegan, cruelty-free, BB cream with the prettiest glow. It’s the kind of product you can apply and it won’t look fake if you’re sitting around the pool. But it won’t look strange if you wear it with bold lipstick or smoky eye.

This isn’t the longest-wearing product, but you can reapply it – without it looking cakey (especially if you don’t use powder).

It also has SPF 42, which provides additional protection (but not enough to replace your sunscreen).

Note: I wouldn’t have enjoyed this very much when I had oily skin, but if you have dry skin, you may appreciate the glow. It’s not shimmery, but it definitely isn’t matte!

The shade selection isn’t extensive, as this is an Asian beauty brand, catering primarily for that market. But, if you can find a decent shade, I highly recommend giving it a chance – especially as you can often find it for under $10 on Amazon.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation

Want a matte finish and a medium-medium full coverage? This is where the infamous Maybelline foundation comes in.

It’s not my favourite anymore, but I loved it when I had oily skin. But if I moisturise and mix it with the Purito BB cream, I can make it work for me.

Please note that this contains alcohol as one of the main ingredients, so that may be a reason to avoid it.

Correctors & Concealers

We know Disney World can be exhausting! So, a good corrector and/or concealer can really help you to look more awake!

Becca X Smashbox Under Eye Brightening Corrector

This is the best corrector I have ever used. A light application covers a lot of my discolouration. It is very slightly tacky, providing a nice base for your concealer to stick to.

This is a step you can skip, but if I want more full-coverage, I like to take a few seconds to apply this before my concealer

Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer

This is a solid-medium coverage, cream concealer. As the name suggests, it is on the matte-side, but I don’t find it to be drying.

It blends in within seconds. If you’re looking for the most-full coverage, this won’t cut it, but it’s a nice quick and natural option.

Flower Beauty Light Illusion Concealer

I can’t take a photo of mine, as I used it up and it’s in the trash. But I will be re-purchasing this.

It’s a medium-medium full-coverage concealer with a flattering matte finish. It’s long-wearing and has the prettiest packaging of all the concealers I’m mentioning (and it’s half or a third of the price!).

Mac Pro Longwear Concealer

This concealer has been popular for a long time (but isn’t as talked-about anymore). It is full-coverage with a natural matte finish.

Considering it’s a pigmented concealer, it’s relatively thin and easy to blend.

You only need a small amount, which is almost annoying, considering it comes in a pump, and it’s hard to control how much product you get.

If you don’t mind the packaging (and that this is in a glass bottle for travel), it’s a good full-coverage option.

For the most full-coverage look, it’s great over the Becca X Smashbox corrector.

Face Powder

This is a step that I think a lot of people can skip, as powder mixed with sweat doesn’t look very natural.

But, if you have oily skin, or you like a slightly matte complexion, here are two pressed powders that will work well for you – regardless of your skin type.

I don’t recommend heavy powders (especially loose powders), as I think they look more obvious on the skin – especially in the Floridian heat.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Pressed Face Powder

disney makeup palette

If you want to add a little coverage and a flattering matte finish, this is a great powder for you.

This is a thin powder, so it doesn’t look heavy on your skin.

It’s especially good on the undereyes, if you want to add a little more coverage.

This can also be applied when you touch up, if you’re losing coverage throughout the day.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder

makeup for disney world

This powder doesn’t add coverage, but it takes down your shine in a flattering, non-drying way.

I prefer this on my face to my under eyes (as it doesn’t add coverage), but that is my personal preference.

It is the perfect finishing powder, and even better for touch-ups throughout the day, if you feel a need to wear powder at Disney World.

Bronzer & Contour

Want to look naturally bronzed and sculpted on vacation? These are the best powder bronzers and contour shades.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer

disney world makeup

This bronzer is perfect for a very particular purpose.

If you’re someone who wears powder bronzer – without face powder underneath – this is a great product, as it’s a very similar formulation to the Airbrush Flawless Powder.

Sometimes powder bronzers don’t apply evenly without face powder underneath – but that’s not a problem with this huge, luxurious bronzer.

It’s very expensive, but as you get 16g of product, it will last a long time, and is refillable. But because it’s such a big product, it will take up a little more room in your makeup bag.

However, if you do choose to wear face powder, I’d recommend one of the other bronzers …

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzers

disney world makeup tips

This is a classic bronzer (especially if you watched YouTube makeup videos and tutorials back in the day).

It smells like chocolate, isn’t too pigmented or too sheer and is kind of hard to mess up.

It applies best over powder and leaves a lovely matte finish.

I use the ‘Milk Chocolate Soleil’ shade whether I’m tan or fair, as it is buildable, but they have three shades to choose from.

Maybelline City Bronzer

disney world princess makeup

If you’re looking for a natural, sheer bronzer, this one from Maybelline is great.

I nearly used up this entire bronzer in just a few months!

If you like a super pigmented bronzer, this won’t be for you. But for a natural, Disney World look, it can be great.

The shades are quite neutral, so can be used for contouring as well.

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow

If you’re looking for a two-in-one duo, this is great.

There is a neutral-cooler shade for contouring, and a stunning, natural highlighter.

These can also be used on the eyes for a very natural eyeshadow look.

I no longer have mine, as I used up most of the contour shade, but it’s a great natural duo, and I would consider purchasing it again, as I’m missing having it in my collection.

Blush

Sure, you might naturally be flushed from the heat, but it’s still fun to add some colour to your cheeks with blush!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush

If longevity is important to you, check out these infamous, matte blushes from Tarte.

They have 13 shades to choose from and will last throughout your longest days.

I have the shade Paaarty, but I’ve also owned Captivating and Exposed in the past, and they were all excellent.

Highlighter

If I’m going to skip a makeup product in Florida, it will often be a highlighter. However, if you want to add in a little glow, here is a great option!

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter

disney world makeup ideas

This viral highlighter is a special product, as it is a highlighter that matches your skin tone. It comes in 12 shades, so instead of using a pink-toned or gold-toned highlighter, you use one that matches you!

This makes it look more natural. It can be applied as a primer for sheer-light coverage or over your base products (preferably not over powder).

Some people wear this alone, but it may be too glowy to wear alone in Disney World.

Setting Spray

This is another step that I often forget, but if you like to set your makeup, here are 2 great options.

Urban Decay De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray

If you want to mattify and lock in your makeup, this setting spray can help. Another great option is the All Nighter Setting Spray, but you can’t go wrong with either of these.

Garnier Ambre Solaire Over Makeup Super UV SPF 50 Setting Spray

disney makeup ideas

I use this setting spray to touch up my SPF throughout the day. It isn’t as effective as a lotion, but it’s better than nothing.

It can have a slight white cast, so I recommend shaking this before spraying it on your face, and I often blend it in with a beauty sponge (I recommend the one from Wet n Wild).

This product is hard to find in the USA, but if you can get this in the UK (or elsewhere), I highly recommend it for Disney World – and in general.

Eyeshadow

Personally, I’m not going to do a fancy cut-crease or anything technical on my Disney World vacation. However, it is nice to give them a little definition and glow.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance 24+ Hour Primer

disney makeup products

This is another skippable step. Eyeshadow primer can be replaced with a matte concealer.

But if you want a nice base for eyeshadow (without a visible tint), this can be a good option.

GXVE Beauty Eye See In Color Multidimensional Eye Shadow Quad (in ‘Danger Zone’)

disney character makeup looks

Eyeshadow quads are my favourite when wearing makeup for Disney World. They’re simple and they don’t take much thought.

This cool-toned quad has three mattes and the black has barely-detectable silver glitter (don’t worry, it doesn’t go all over your face).

People are divided about the formula of these quads. I think if you don’t go in with too much product, you can get a beautiful eyeshadow look.

The shimmers in the other quads are VERY natural, so keep that in mind, if you purchase another quad. Then again, that can be a good thing if you don’t want a dramatic eyeshadow look in Disney World.

Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette Eyeshadow Quads

disney eye makeup

These quads are simple and easy to use.

The mattes blend easily, and the shimmers make your eyes glow. These quads also come with a shade with sophisticated glitter, but without the crazy fall-out.

My most-used quad is ‘Pillow Talk‘, with natural pink-peachy shades, which show up best on fair-medium skin tones.

Copper Charge‘ is a great quad for warm-toned eyeshadow wearers, and I used to own ‘Golden Goddess‘, which is a lovely natural quad’ for fans of shimmer!

Natasha Denona Glam Palette

If you enjoy a larger eyeshadow palette, this cool-neutral toned eyeshadow has 15 shades.

Every look you can make is wearable, though there are darker shades (which is especially great if you like soft smokey eyes and to line your eyes with eyeshadow).

I have travelled with this to Disney World and Disneyland Paris, and always been able to create quick and easy, glamorous looks.

Chanel Ombre Première Laque Liquid Eyeshadow

disney makeup looks full face

Want a very quick look? Paint this liquid eyeshadow onto your eyelids, blend bronzer or a matte brown eyeshadow in the crease, and ta-da! You’re ready to go.

This eyeshadow requires hardly any blending, and makes your eyes glow.

My favourite shade is 26 – Quartz Rose – a pretty soft nude pink.

Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerise Cream Shadows

Prefer cream eyeshadow? This unique formula is a ‘whipped’ and doesn’t dry out quickly like most traditional cream eyeshadow.

I currently own Oyster Pearl, a beautiful, glowy, cool-toned brown, that looks pretty on its own or under or over other eyeshadows.

It’s a very versatile product.

Eyeliner

This is another step I might skip (or replace with a dark eyeshadow). But sometimes, eyeliner is fun.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliners

These creamy eyeshadows last pretty well, and usually don’t smudge or transfer throughout the day (occasionally they may move, but it is very slight).

I use the black and nude shades, and highly recommend them. They also have a few other shades to choose from.

This was the first formula of pencil eyeliner I ever used, and I’m still using them to this day, so they really have stood the test of time.

Mascara

You might already have your favourite mascara, but if you’re looking for a great one for Disney World, check this one out:

Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara

This TikTok sensation actually is a good mascara. It lengthens, separates and provides a tiny bit of volume. It lasts well and doesn’t flake.

I had to throw mine out as I’d had it for too long, but it was a solid, reliable mascara for a reasonable price.

Brows

Brows are a very personal thing, but here is a great, simple product if you’re wearing makeup for Disney World:

Too Faced Brow Wig Eyebrow Gel

makeup for disney

This hair fiber brow gel gives you the look of “fluffy”, filled in brows that last throughout the day. It’s the best tinted brow gel I’ve ever used!

Lip Products

Whether you like matte, cream or shine, here are some of the best lip products for Disney World!

Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Liner (‘Pillowtalk’)

These lip liners are creamy and easy-to-use. They are pigmented enough that they can be worn alone or just underneath a lip gloss.

I use the shade ‘Pillowtalk’ (a pinky, peachy nude).

GXVE Beauty Anaheim Shine Lipstick (‘Original Recipe’)

Red lipstick is perfectly fitting for Disney World, and who knows red lipstick better than Gwen Stefani?!

As expected, the red lipstick (‘Original Recipe’) from Gwen’s makeup line is stunning.

I use the Anaheim Shine lipstick (for a satin finish), but you can also find this shade in the following formulas:

Wet n Wild Mega Last Matte Lip Color

These are the best (I repeat ‘the best’) matte lipsticks ever! Even better than Charlotte Tilbury or Nars lipsticks!

They are pigmented, creamy and comfortable but still matte.

And just when you think they can’t get any better, they are under $4!

The shade I wear is ‘Never Nude‘.

GXVE Beauty Bubble Pop Electric High-Shine Lip Gloss

ariel disney world makeup

These lip glosses have a perfect, natural shine. They have some colour, but aren’t so pigmented that they will completely cover your lipstick underneath.

If you don’t like scented lip glosses, you won’t like these. But if you do, they smell like cookies, and it’s amazing!

I wear the shade ‘Dolled Up’ – a perfect baby pink.

Maybelline Lifter Lip Glosses

These lip glosses are popular for a good reason. They are high-shine and come in a beautiful range of shades.

I own the shade, ‘Ice‘ – and I’ve gone through about three of these!

There are no miracle products, but it’s been great to share the best makeup products I’ve found for long days at Disney World.
